2024 1/4 oz. South African Gold Krugerrand Coin

The 2024 South African Gold Krugerrand, a pioneering gold bullion coin, was first issued in 1967, predating other similar coins. Initially, it was only produced in a 1 oz version until 1979. That year, the Royal Canadian Mint released the Gold Maple Leaf, presenting an alternative for investors. In response, in 1980, the South African Mint introduced its first fractional-ounce gold coins, including the 2024 1/4 oz Gold Krugerrand, expanding its range and appeal to a broader market.
