2022 1 oz. South African Krugerrand Silver Coin

The South African Gold Krugerrand, a pioneering silver bullion coin, was first issued in 1967, predating other similar coins. Initially, it was only produced in a 1 oz version until 1979. That year, the Royal Canadian Mint released the Silver Maple Leaf, presenting an alternative for investors. In response, in 1980, the South African Mint introduced its first fractional-ounce gold coins, including the 1 oz Silver Krugerrand, expanding its range and appeal to a broader market.
